The short version. Your preview is free. We don't take card details, we don't sign you up to anything, and you don't have to buy. If you don't order, we delete the preview and everything you sent us for it within 30 days.
What you get
- A design of how your new homepage could look, made for your business, within 2 working days of your request. The clock starts once we have enough information to identify your business.
- One round of tweaks. Send us your comments in one message, and we'll update the preview once.
- One preview per business.
- A preview is a design, not a live website. It isn't on your domain, and its buttons and forms may not work.
It’s genuinely free
- We never ask for card or bank details for a preview.
- We never move you onto a paid plan automatically. Nothing is ordered unless you sign an Order Form.
- There's no preview fee, now or later, and nothing is added to or taken off a later price because of it.
- There's no obligation to buy, and no sales calls: we don't phone anyone. We reply in writing, by email, WhatsApp or Telegram.
Who can ask for a preview
- Previews are for businesses and for people's work, including sole traders, freelancers and the self-employed. They're not for private (consumer) use.
- When you ask for a preview, you confirm that you own the business or are allowed to act for it. If you're not, please don't ask for a preview for it.
- We may turn down a request, for example if we can't identify the business, if it has already had a preview, or if its activity isn't allowed under our Acceptable Use Policy.
What we build it from
- We use the public business information you give us, such as your business name, town, services and opening hours, and the public listing you point us to.
- We don't copy photos or reviews from your Google Business Profile, or from anywhere else. Photos on Google often belong to the people who took them, and reviews belong to the people who wrote them. The preview uses neutral stock or placeholder images instead.
- If you send us your own photos or logo to use, you confirm you have the right to let us use them for the preview.
- The words in the preview are our own draft, based on public facts. They're not final text.
Where your preview lives
- On a private web address with a long, hard-to-guess code in it. We never link to it from our website.
- It's marked “noindex”, which tells search engines not to list it.
- Anyone who has the link can open it, so only share it with people you choose.
How long we keep it
- If you don't order, we delete the preview and the materials you sent us for it (such as photos, a logo or notes) within 30 days of sending you the preview (or the tweaked version, if later).
- Want it deleted sooner? Email hello@northpin.studio and we'll delete it and confirm by email.
- We keep a short record of your request, such as your name, business and contact details, as explained in our privacy notice.
- If you order in the meantime, your preview becomes the starting point for your website.
Who owns the design
- The preview design belongs to us unless you order. You can look at it and show it to people in your business. You can't use it, copy it or have someone else build a site from it without ordering from us.
- Your business name, logo and information stay yours. We use them only to make and show you the preview.
- If you order, the design becomes part of the work we make for you, and it becomes yours once the build is paid in full (Terms of Business, clause 19).
- We may reuse general layouts, ideas and components in other work, but never your business details.
If you decide to order
- You sign an Order Form, and our Terms of Business apply from then on.
- The price is the one on our pricing page on the day of your Order Form, and the price in your Order Form is the price you pay.

Previews we make without being asked
Sometimes we make a preview for a business we think we could help, and send it to them. If that's you:
- It carries a clear label saying it's a concept preview by Northpin Studio, and that it isn't affiliated with or endorsed by your business.
- The same rules apply: a private link, marked “noindex”, stock or placeholder images only, no copied reviews, and your business name used only to show who it's for.
- We delete it within 30 days if you don't want to go ahead.
- If you'd like it deleted sooner, or don't want to hear from us again, just reply or email hello@northpin.studio. We act on it within 48 hours.
Your details
We use your details only to prepare and send your preview, and to follow up on your request, as explained in our privacy notice. We don't send marketing emails.
The legal bits
- Asking for a preview doesn't create a contract to buy anything. These terms are the only terms that apply to a preview.
- A preview is a design idea, provided as it is. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales decide any dispute.
- If a translation of these terms differs from the English version, the English version applies.
